Credited for writing, producing, arranging, mixing and mastering all 8 tracks independently, Thea experiments with multiple genres on her debut release such as indie rock, acoustic/electronic pop, and R&B. With varied arrangements that alternate between layered electric guitars, piano-based power ballads, or delicate strings, “Frame By Frame” has something for music lovers of all sorts to enjoy. Thematically, the album’s first, fifth, and eighth tracks serve as bookends in its overall concept, highlighting three different experiences of embracing, struggling with, or feeling sentimental about the impact of big life changes. While not being able to see the full picture of your life as it happens is often frustrating, the songs on “Frame By Frame” try to show the value of fully living in the present moment, and that being able to embrace your biggest triumphs along with your greatest heartbreaks is exactly what builds your character in the first place.
